California Based Climate Action Reserve to Address Carbon Conference Attendees
INDIANAPOLIS — Galvin Strategies and Carbon Solutions Group have organized the Midwest’s first conference to address the world’s fastest growing market: The Carbon Market. The Carbon Conference 2010: The Economics of Carbon will be held on March 11, 2010 at the Westin Indianapolis. This even will host a number of experts in the areas of utility management, environmental management, carbon offsets and emissions trading.
We are very excited to announce that Joel Levin, Vice President of Business Development at the California based Climate Action Reserve, will discuss how Indiana forests can generate revenue for local and state governments at this year’s Carbon Conference.
“Across the U.S., we’ve seen a significant increase in interest in forestry offset projects and actual projects being submitted to the Climate Action Reserve. We are looking forward to discussing how forests in Indiana and other Midwest states can develop offset projects and become involved in the carbon market,” said Joel Levin.
“The Carbon Conference couldn’t happen at a better time,” stated David Galvin, Event Organizer. “Our local and state units of government are searching for ways to generate revenue, and a part of the answer may be found in our state and city parks,” Galvin said. “Business and community leaders have been encouraged by our state’s leadership to think out-side the box, and the Carbon Conference is an ‘outside the box’ approach to bring new ideas and equitable solutions to both the economic and environmental issues that we must address today.”
